SPAR Stay in the Game Community Fund Terms and Conditions

  1. Prize draw entry is strictly over 18’s.
  2. The promoter is SPAR Ireland.
  3. SPAR Ireland is the sole sponsor of the promotion and holds sole responsibility for promotion management.
  4. The prize draw is open to residents of the Republic of Ireland only, aged 18 years or older excluding employees of SPAR Ireland, their immediate families, agents, clients, suppliers, retailers, merchants and associates or anyone professionally associated with the promotion.
  5. No purchase is necessary. Entry to the prize draw is free.
  6. Only one entry per person. Multiple entries made by the same person or from the same IP address will not be accepted. Entry to the competition may be made on behalf of any club, group or local post primary school in the Republic of Ireland. The applicant does not have to have membership of the club, group or local post primary school that they are nominating.
  7. To enter simply visit www.spar.ie or www.spar.ie/communityfund and complete the entry form. You will be asked for the reason for your nomination and the name of the local community club/ group/ post primary school that you are nominating. There is an option to submit video and images along with the nomination. Entries that do not include video and images will not be at a disadvantage during the judging process; all entries will be considered on their individual merit.
  8. The competition will run from Wednesday 15th April 2024 until Sunday 30th June 2024 at 11.59pm. No Exceptions. SPAR Ireland is responsible for fulfilment of the prize.
  9. A total of 5 winners will be chosen from all the entries received by our judging panel, which comprises of members of the Management of SPAR Ireland Retail Group and one of our external marketing agency partners, 53Six. SPAR Ireland’s decision regarding prize winners will be final, and no correspondence regarding that decision will be entered into.
  10. SPAR Ireland will contact the winners directly on or before 12th July 2024.
  11. Prize offered is 5 x €2,000 prize funds for the club, group or post primary school that has been nominated by each winning applicant. The competition is inclusive of all types of sports clubs or groups; and post primary schools that foster the continued participation of teenage girls in sport. Please note that SPAR Ireland reserves the right to vary the prize in the event of circumstances beyond SPAR Ireland’s control.
  12. Each winning club, group or post primary school will be asked to nominate one teenage girl who is involved in sport within the winning organisation to attend a motivational SPAR Stay in the Game workshop with Kellie Harrington after the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. The workshop is anticipated to take place in late August / early September.
  13. Details of the workshop will be provided once the winning clubs, groups or post primary schools have been notified of their success.
  14. The attendees at the workshop will be featured in a short social media video. The video will be shared on SPAR Ireland’s social media channels, and may also be posted from Kellie Harrington’s social media accounts. Media release forms will be provided for all participants.
  15. In order to redeem your prize, SPAR Ireland will need to ask for your name, email address and contact details, and possibly the name and contact details of a representative of the winning club, group or post primary school. Once all parties are satisfied that the winning club, group or post primary school have received their prizes, your / their contact details will be removed from all databases.
  16. In the event that a winner cannot be contacted or does not respond within 48 hours to winner notification, an alternative winner will be selected from entries.
  17. The cash prize will be sent to the winner within 90 days from the time the winner contacts the Promoter. Where this is not possible, SPAR Ireland will notify the winner(s) of a delay.
  18.  The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and is not redeemable for other prizes.
  19. The 5 x winning clubs, groups or post primary schools may be required to take part in promotional activity related to the competition and the winners shall participate in such activity on SPAR Ireland’s reasonable request.
  20. The winners of the competition (club, group or post primary school) and/or the person who has nominated and won on their behalf, consent to the use by SPAR Ireland and its related companies, after the closing date of the competition for an unlimited time, of the winner’s / entrant’s photograph and name for publicity purposes (in any medium, including still photographs and films, and on the internet, including any websites hosted by SPAR Ireland and its related companies) and in PR, advertising, marketing or promotional material without additional compensation or prior notice and, in entering the Prize Draw, all entrants consent to the same.
  21. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tik Tok, Spotify or Youtube. You understand that you are providing your information to page owners of this promotion and not to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tik Tok, Spotify or Youtube. The information you provide will only be used for this promotion unless specific authorisation is given.
  22. The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this promotion or accepting or using the prize (including to any guests), except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (including personal injury, death and fraud) in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law.
